NON-STICK relationships!

When did you last kiss your mom? Yes, thats what I meant to ask you. Can you remember when did you last kiss your mom?

Do you realize that when you were a child, your mom would have kissed you atleast a million times! Leave alone kissing, as some of you may argue that there are better ways of expressing love.

Can you recollect when did you last take out your parents for a movie or restaurant and spend time with them and for them alone? Or when was the last time you bought them some gifts ( I am certainly not talking about costly gifts like a diamond necklace or a double border kancheepuram silk saree or a bike for your dad)

Ok, leave alone gifts too, as few of you may argue that you do not want to trade the relationship values. Can you retrospect and think of the last time you were the sole reason for a smile on your parents face? Do we ever have time to patiently hear our their views, problems and opinions?

If the answer is YES to any or all of the above, you are certainly belong to the elite and limited club of parent caring children. If not, welcome to the world of NON-STICK relationships. You still have ample opportunities and instances to correct yourself before its too late. Not only MOTHER-CHILD, most other intimate relationships are become conditional, selfish and a mere formality these days.

People are becoming to behave more and more like programmed devices. Thanks to the whole new world of technological advancements which are slowly and surely eating our personal space and life.

We invariably end up spending most of our free time on TOUCH screen phones and forget to touch the lives of the relationships around us. Not only mobile phones, you know the names of other culprits too. The world is becoming more and more selfish and self-centred. Most of us only think about others when we have a need and when we need to address our wants. True love almost seems to have become extinct. The world is producing better actors by the day and we seek INSTANT resolution for everything. Patience is becoming a forgotten virtue.

Can you quote a single instance of a parent bringing up the child through a web camera, skype or net meeting? Parents always have their children as the first priority. Shouldn’t we reciprocate atleast a part of it?

P.S: I am certainly not against Technology but only against the over usage of it and its addiction.

"SPIT" personality - SONS Of SALIVA ( SOS)

Ulaga Nayagan tried to convey the message in the song from the movie PKS - எதிர் காத்துல ஏச்சி மொழியதே தம்பி டா தம்பி.......

Still lakhs of people(herein referred to as SOS) don’t seem to have understood the meaning and continue to pollute the streets, wet the motherland and sprinkle holy water on co-travelers.

The worst of all they don’t even feel for their negligence or care to apologize for such scatterbrained and ill mannered act.

Patience is a (limited) virtue and the SOS don’t realize that its only a matter of time before they are at the receiving end and receive a taste(YUK) of their own medicine.

Its really sad that people take time to follow good deeds and only acquire such (civic)senseless acts in a jiffy.

This habit is spreading fast like wild fire and the number of people spitting on the road are increasing at an alarming rate, as high as the birth rate in our country!

I am sure there are better and healthy ways to help fight global warming. What is more paining is that “some” woman folks are also a victim of this habit L

The number of spitters on road every day would even defy geometric progression as I see them everywhere – people spit from autos, buses, trains, lorries, cycle, bikes and where not.

Even while walking on the road or standing in a tea shop, they don’t forget to do this act which would make the country proud. Its horrible in traffic signals as auto drivers tend to spit near your leg.

Railway(especially MRTS) stations and Public sector buildings are a feather in the cap for SOS, thanks to the betel leaf.

One can now imagine why the PSE buildings are always painted in brick red color and why our famous Chennai Central station was repainted and could not withstand its creamy yellow color even for a very short time.

Its high time we do something about it. May be the Government could pass a law to prevent this ( Its already prevalent in countries like . When there is helmet law, anti-smoking law, why not anti-spitting law?

FASTing

No, the subject is not about FASTING. It’s a googly.

Its about advancing the time in your watch (mobile would be more relevant as I don’t see many people wearing a watch these days) and trying to get ahead in life ;)

Does this really work? Well, I have lost faith in the process as I still continue to be unpunctual. ( If you thought impunctual is the right word, then you are rightly wrong as me)

Well, actually it's a no-brainer. But after innumerous attempts, I have realized that our brain is superior than us and we end up fooling ourselves.Dont you think so?

A ten minute advancement in time will constantly remind us that we have 10 more minutes and we tend to over utilize the actual time and end up slightly later than the correct time.

Hats off to Murphy’s law. It is certainly a “Clock”tical Illusion. Also I strongly believe that punctuality has to be in the mind and not in the clock.

As there is a saying that “Whole is greater than the sum of its parts”, whether you believe or not, "Execution" time on most occasions is later than "Actual" time and we are misguided by the "Advanced" time ! ( If you wanted to reach office by 9am and set your clock faster by 10 minutes, 9 out of 10 times, you reach office after 9am and not before 8:50)

For those of you who still have faith in the concept, please try and create a folder named CON in your system.

Reality – Don’t worry about today, its already tomorrow in Australia.

Myth – Don’t worry about today, its already tomorrow here (as I have kept my watch 24 hours fast)

Next time when you hear someone saying “டைம் செரி இல்லப்பா ”, stand well away from them and just ask them to adjust their time to reset their misfortune.

No bad news is good news! Idle is also sometimes ideal

Thanks to the monsoon, pollution, traffic(leading to sweat), chennai weather and my dear office colleagues that I too got the killer Cold!

As they say that well begun is half done, I never realized that the cold began well and then grew into fever. Luckily it dint gather enough courage and strength to transform into a viral fever, else I might have had to request the Doc to install Symantec Anti Virus in me ;)

Good times are never good for you. ( Read it again) You tend to become arrogant, over joyed and care least about others and even you during that period.

Its only during the bad phase of life that you really “start living” and realizing life and yearn for the pleasures of life(which you have had and missed enjoying) and end up becoming more philosophical.

Exceptions are always an exception, But I am not. I too realized that the previous week which I earlier thought was a ridiculous week with no interesting(you may skip this word) ;) work, was heaven. ( for the simple reason that I dint have cold then)

Alas, it was too late. I don’t have the time machine to rewind and enjoy the previous week.

When a simple cold could make so much difference to the thought process, I started understanding that “No bad news is indeed a good news”(subject ku vandhom la, enga vechurkaen paarunga linka) and life has to be lived every second.

As some QRST said (why always use ABC or XYZ) that your life span is the split second between your first breath and your next breath, Life has to be lived and enjoyed every second.

Now hold on, am getting sneeze….Huchhhhhhhhhh…. J Now my neighbour will start feeling that his last week was good. Old is COLD….

DST

This weekend when DST changes came into effect, I was thinking this( exactly when the time was set behind by an hr).
Would DST be accepted in India at all? Well, it may sound funny.

In Chennai, some parties may protest against it, some may plan for a hunger strike.

All the “Raaghu Kaalam”, “Yema Gandam” “Nalla neram”, “Ketta neram” etc will go for a toss.
The panjamgam has to be re-written. Pattali makkal katchi and Hindu munnani may claim that this is illegal and plan for a dharna.

Famous astrologers like “Mei Meiyappans” will start delivering lengthy lectures in prime slots to boost the TRP of some channels.

Congress party may get into another scam by crediting the MP’s salary twice during midnight and blaming the re-clock.

So many clock towers across the state would be attended to during mid night!
Multiplexes may screen a special show during the DST time change and charge double the price!!

Jokes apart, I am amazed how the Developed nations cope with this without making a big fuss of it.

It only reminds me of the saying “In the game of chess, sometimes you have to make a move backward to move forward, similarly in life !!”

They don’t mind going behind another hour to make life n work easy. Its time we too accept some logical changes and get ahead in life.

GOD and the curious human mind!

Why does the mind always have an upper hand over us? Have you ever thought about it?

If you really note down the number of things and people and scenarios and instances and events and dialogues ( and what not…) which comes into our mind every day( at least one single day), you would be amazed at the capacity of our brain.

We must really thank God for having given us this ever expandable hard disk memory which need not be formatted and which does not crash that easily and normally. Amazing…

And I guess the brain also has the power to traverse to the remotest corner of its hard disk and travel back several years( as early as the childhood days) and immediately come to the present second also.

We have the power to identify a person whom we have seen before decades in a flash and also at the same time reply an SMS parallelly!!

I bet its really beyond science and beyond imagination and beyond affordability.
Can someone price the human brain? Impossible. Its such a wonderful gift that God has given us.

Birth, death, dreams are all beyond explanation for which only God knows the answer.
I have also been fascinated by the fact that the FACE and THUMB IMPRESSION are unique for every single person on this earth!!

How can the creator still continue to create different human faces with only slightest difference in eyes, nose, mouth ? After all face is less than 1 sqft..

And still there are slight similarities within the family members and differences with all others in the world.. Wow…Just Great.

We are really like the alien creatures in the movie AVATAR, controlled by GOD. He knows when to switch on and when to switch off..
